HUMAN MARIONETTE

I have been exploring the concept of freedom and humanity's ability to operate independently in the world. As part of this exploration, I developed a project in which I envisioned myself as a marionette. I created a collection and performance that revolves around the idea of navigating through limitations by embracing submission and adaptability.

The project features a series of three human puppets presented in a performance, each wearing costumes and innovative accessories that influence their movement. The designs range from organic to mechanical, and all parts are attached to the garments as artificial body extensions, allowing for interchangeability. I combined traditional craftsmanship with innovative 3D modeling and scanning technologies to ensure a perfect fit and durability. The print design is based on my childhood paintings, which have been manipulated and distorted to reflect an individual's exposure from infancy to the reality within which they will grow and live.
